Bruce Flater has gathered over 20 years of experience in all phases of the design and construction of roof systems. This experience includes: evaluation of existing systems; failure investigations of existing roofing, development of professional Contract Document packages including specifications and construction drawings for repairing, reand retrofitting of roofs; construction planning and management; drainage analysis; and roof observations during construction for quality assurance.
In his involvement in several hundred roofing projects at various industrial, commercial, municipal and institutional facilities, he has also gained and applied expertise in a variety of other construction components that directly or indirectly affect the roof and the building envelope as a whole.
Mr. Flater is well versed in the state-of-the-art roofing systems and materials including conventional built-up roofing, modified bitumen roofing, single ply roofing, asphalt shingles and metal roofing. He is a Professional Member of the Roof Consultants Institute and is currently pursuing registration as a Registered Roof Consultant.
